Karambelas Media and Communication CenterWilkes University's newest facility, the Karambelas Media and Communication Center, officially opened with a dedication ceremony on Aug. 31. The $4 million, 14,000-square-foot center will house the communication studies program, consolidating all scholarship and activities into one modern facility where students can collaborate across media disciplines.The 14,000-square-foot center is located at 141 South Main St., continuing to expand Wilkes' presence in downtown Wilkes-Barre. Live events are morphing into themed based production experiences used to motivate the attendees and leave a lasting impression of the experience. Recently we were asked to develop an event based around one such theme. Ideas developed from initial meetings with a local marketing company and the client with the focus to energize the upcoming sales rally.  The venue was a former manufacturing site turned into sports complex with meeting space. Our event was scheduled to be in one of the large areas with open ceiling, support columns, concrete floor and white walls which presented both challenges and unique opportunities to meet the project goals.
