Director of Hotel AV Services - Gettysburg

Job description

The Director of Hotel AV Services is responsible for the planning, organization and execution of all aspects of audio-visual of daily operations and management at one of our meeting and convention center hotel properties. This is accomplished by determining needs of the client, creating and reading orders accurately, and executing events.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients to determine event needs
  • Work closely with the Sales manager and team to establish and meet specific sales goals
  • Work closely with the appropriate hotel staff and others to develop relationships and sales leads for upcoming meetings and events.
  • Attend all hotel order meetings
  • Meet event contact on site for quality assurance, and/or contact before event to ensure needs are meet
  • Participate in weekly live events department meetings
  • Enter order data for each event in a timely manner, and bill events upon completion
  • Interpret data from orders to determine equipment necessary, and event setup, operation, and strike timing
  • Setup, operation, and strike of audio visual equipment
  • Maintain equipment and keep the office clean and organized at all times
  • Portray a professional appearance and demeanor when dealing with clients

  • Excellent verbal skills necessary, as well as the ability to communicate with diplomacy, professionalism and graciousness.
  • Must have knowledge of Power point and be able to do web based order entry.
  • Ability to work with clients maintaining professionalism at all times.

Audio Visual Event Technician

Job description

The Audio-Visual Event Technician is responsible for the proper preparation and execution of events. This is accomplished by determining needs of the client, creating and reading orders accurately, and executing events from delivery to return to shop.

The Technician will also be responsible for the maintenance of equipment.

Appropriate appearance and professional self presentation is necessary when dealing with clients.

The Audio-Visual Technician reports to the Rental Manager.

Core Duties

· Communicate with clients to determine needs

· Enter order data for each event in a timely manner, and bill events upon completion

· Interpret data from orders to determine equipment necessary, and event setup, operation, and strike timing

· Proper transportation, set, operation, and strike of audio visual equipment

· Meet event contact on site for quality assurance, and/or contact before event to ensure needs are meet

· Maintain equipment

· Portray a professional appearance and demeanor when dealing with clients

· Other associated tasks assigned by the rental manger

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

· A working knowledge of audio visual equipment, such as sound systems, projection and data displays, lighting, etc.., is necessary

· Demonstrates ability to be timely and accurate, giving attention to detail.

· Must organize multiple tasks simultaneously in a competent and calm manner.
