ProAVNews: Extron Now Shipping! 8K HDMI Distribution Amplifier with EDID Minder Plus

Extron is excited to announce the immediate availability of the DA2 HD 8K L, an HDCP 2.3-compliant distribution amplifier for HDMI 2.1 signals. It supports resolutions up to 8K/30 @ 4:4:4, including 5K applications such as for Microsoft® Teams® 21:9 in Front Row installations. The dual-output distribution amplifier supports data rates up to 40.1 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12 bits, 3D, and HD lossless audio formats. It also provides CEC capability to streamline operation.

For rock-solid performance, it features multiple Extron technologies. Two of these technologies are EDID Minder® Plus for support of additional memory blocks and Key Minder®, which ensures simultaneous distribution of HDCP-encrypted source content. Other integration-friendly features include automatic input equalization, automatic color bit depth management, selectable output muting, and Ethernet monitoring and control. Packed with even more features and capabilities, the DA2 HD 8K L is ideal for a wide variety of environments, from presentation spaces to esports venues, providing reliable distribution of a high data rate HDMI source signal to two displays.
